Bio

Catherine Taylor, born Catherine Houge, was born in Cambridge, England. Shortly after, her family moved to the United States, settling in Rapid City, South Dakota. She grew up with a love of reading, writing, animals and nature. At the age of 12, she wrote her first short story. At 14, she wrote her first (and last) book, although today it remains unpublished. At 16, she found a love for poetry and has since written hundreds.

In 1998, Catherine was blessed with her first child. Within 5 years her family had grown to include 2 sons and 2 daughters. Content with motherhood, she pushed aside her desires to write so she could focus on her family.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Catherine moved to Mississippi to join in the effort to rebuild the coast. It was there that she met and fell in love with her husband, John. After 3 years, they moved to his hometown in North Carolina. They now reside in a mountain home not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Catherine spends her days blogging and writing articles online. In her free time, she's usually in her garden, hiking or creating some kind of craft project.
